I love lipstick. Actually, I love all lip products; matte lipstick, natural lipstick, lipgloss, nude lipstick, glitter lipstick, bold lipstick, you name it and I love it. To be completely honest, I am a bit embarrassed by my lipstick collection, it’s excessive.
My favorite girl, Rhinanna, once said this about her favorite beauty product, “Lipstick. It draws attention away from any flaws. When someone is wearing lipstick, you just assume they’re wearing a full face of makeup. And guys are stupid–they won’t notice when you’re not.”

Let me tell you that quote has stuck by me because boy do I believe it. Lipstick can take a mascara only day into a fully polished look. I love all lipstick looks but this summer I have my favorite everyday, nude lip look. This look is created by three tried and true products that once they are layered together make a long lasting, high shine nude lip.
To achieve this look I start with NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in the color whipped caviar, I line my lips with this liner then I fill in my lips completely with this lip liner. Once that is done I take NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick and layer that on top of my already lined lips. Once that is on I wait a complete minute to allow that to dry on my lips, this minute of waiting is super important for long lasting lips. Once the product is dry I then apply Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in the color Vintage over my lips. This product is amazing, it’s like nothing I’ve ever used. Its super high shine and long-lasting. $16 for a lip gloss might seem a bit crazy, but it’s SO WORTH IT!
My skin tone is pretty light, even in summer, but this color trio looks great on a variety of skin tones from fair to deep skin tones.
This is my everyday look but when it comes to a night out or a more high glam opportunity I live for a bold lip, I can’t wait to write about my favorite bold lip products. I HAVE A LOT OF FAVORITES! What are your favorite lip products? I am always looking to expand my ridiculous collection!
Happy Monday!

Great post! I agree, every type of lipstick is wonderful in its own way.
