Pantone’s Color of the year, an announcement that makes me so excited every year. Do I agree with the color selection every year? No way. But this year I am so excited about the selection, Living Coral is the perfect color to welcome 2019 with.
Okay, now I am going to be very honest about Pantone’s color of the year selection; while I think the color is beautiful I don’t traditionally think this color is beautiful on my fair skin. As a result, I really had to dig deep to find pieces that I am excited to incorporate into my wardrobe.
Must Have Living Coral Pieces

- Mac Coral Lipstick $18
- Splendid Sweatshirt $65
- Double Breasted Coat $51
- Tunic Sweater $45

- New Balance Running Shoe $40
- Coral Nail Polish $12
- Sandal Mules $58
I have spent my entire professional career in the B2B marketing space so I know the importance of perfectly matching the Pantone shade but in this situation that was not a priority to me. Most of my selections are not exact matches for the Living Coral shade and yet I am so excited for all of these pieces.
In my new hometown of Palm Springs, bright, vibrant colors are overly loved and embraced. But as you can tell by my Instagram, my normal wardrobe consists of black clothing and lots of neutrals so this new year I am trying to mix it up. In 2019 a goal of mine is to introduce more color into my wardrobe and Pantone’s color of the year is the perfect place to start.
My all-time favorite Pantone selection was the 2016 color, that beautiful rose quartz. Pantone then followed that up with, in my opinion, the worst selection ever the 2017 color “greenery”, nope, not for me.
I hope you love these coral finds as much as I do! Are you a fan of Living Coral? What other products would you like to see in this shade?

I am also excited for this year’s Pantone colour! I’ll definitely be getting more into it in Spring and Summer!
Me too! Now being on the warmer temps!
